Before joining The CEO Collective, I had just come off maternity leave with my first baby and was just feeling all over the place and my business just lacked direction. I really just needed some sort of system and plan to follow to get me back on track and my new role as a mom.

One thing that I didn’t realize when I started my business was it’s actually very lonely. Working from home, working for yourself and having other women who may or may not have similar businesses to you, but at least understand and know what it’s like to also be solopreneurs or small business owners, it really just helps I think, with the camaraderie, the mental health aspect. And then of course, we also support each other as well in our businesses.

Now I am preparing for my second maternity leave, but this time I just know exactly what I need to do to make the money that I need to make in order to support my family. And this just allows me to have really firm boundaries so that I’m working when I’m working and I’m with my family and taking care of my kids when I’m with them.
