I ran this business on five hours a week while I was the full-time caregiver for my mother.
For almost a full year, I stepped away from nearly every operational role in my business so I could care for my mom.
This included a major move to memory care for her, senior living for my dad, selling their home… followed by months on hospice and ultimately my mother’s death in December 2025 after decades of living with a Traumatic Brain Injury and years of rapidly advancing dementia.
I sat down with my team and made surgical decisions about what would run and what would pause – mapping every system, identifying what my team could own completely without me.
